Help

How claiming works, why some listings have nothing to claim, and what to do when something looks wrong.

Not every deal works the same way

This is the part worth reading. LowCoDeals lists three different kinds of offer, and what you do about one is not what you do about the next. Each listing says which kind it is.

Claim it first

The listing has a Claim button.

Press it and a code comes to you by email, or by text if you gave a phone number. Show the code at the business and they scan it. The code has its own expiry, usually 48 hours from when you claim it, so claim it near when you plan to go.

Just mention it

No code, no claiming.

Tell whoever is at the counter that you saw the offer on LowCoDeals. That is the whole process. These are arranged with the business directly, so staff are expecting it.

Nothing to claim

A special the business already runs for everyone.

Taco night, happy hour, a weekly burger price. LowCoDeals did not negotiate it and cannot honor it, so there is no code and no button. Just show up. These change without much warning, so it is worth a call before a long drive.

Common questions

Do I need an account to use a deal?

No. You can claim a deal as a guest with just an email address or a phone number. An account is free and adds two things: your claimed deals live in one place, and you can save deals you want to come back to.

My code never arrived. What now?

Check the spam folder first, since that is where most of them are. If you have the code itself, you can pull the claim back up at lowcodeals.com/claim/ followed by your code, which shows the same thing the email did. If nothing arrived at all, email support@lowcodeals.com with the deal name and the address you used and we will look at whether it left our end.

How long is my code good for?

Each deal sets its own window, and 48 hours from the moment you claim is the common one. A code also never outlives the deal itself, so if the deal ends tomorrow the code ends tomorrow no matter when you claimed it. The expiry is in the email and on the claim page.

Why do some deals have no Claim button?

Because most of what is listed here is a standing special the restaurant runs for everyone. There is nothing for us to issue a code against, and a claim button would promise a voucher we cannot make anyone honor. Those listings say "No claim needed" and send you to the business instead.

Is the price or the time on a listing definitely right?

It is what the business published. Listings are taken from each business’s own website or given to us by the business, and anything we can no longer find on their page comes down. That is a much better guarantee than most listing sites offer and it is still not the same as a promise. Specials move, particularly around holidays, so call ahead before a long drive.

Is there a limit on how many times I can claim something?

Sometimes. A business can cap how many claims a deal accepts in total and how many one person can take. If you hit either one the site tells you which. Otherwise there is no limit and nothing to keep track of.

Does any of this cost money?

Not for you. LowCoDeals is free for anyone looking for deals, with no fee, no membership and nothing to buy. Businesses pay to run tracked offers, which is what keeps the lights on.

How do I hear about new deals?

The newsletter is the main one, and there is a signup box on most pages. We also post every new deal to Facebook and Instagram. If you are after a particular night, the weekly specials pages are the fastest way in.

Something on a listing is wrong.

Tell us and we will fix it. Email support@lowcodeals.com with a link to the listing and what is wrong with it. Wrong prices and dead specials are the two we most want to hear about, because a listing that sends somebody to a special that ended is worse for us than no listing at all.

This is my business and I want the listing changed or removed.

Email support@lowcodeals.com from an address at the business and say which listing. You can have it corrected, taken down, or handed over to you, in which case you control the photos, the hours and the copy from then on and we stop touching it. There is no charge for any of that.

Still stuck?

Email us. A real person in the Lowcountry reads it, and a wrong listing is worth more to us than a polite one.
